Company description: Apocalyptic circus  is a small family run company based in Sweden/England. The company was created in 2012 by Linn Brodén and Tom Richmond. The aim was to create circus theatre shows using stories from our own lives and people around us.  We value circus highly and always aim to create work with high skill levels at its core.

We are currently creating a new family show” Marianne and I”, that will premier 2024. We have played several previews in the summer 2023 with great feedback.The show is a co-production between CirkL and Apocalyptic Circus, with support from Konstnärsnämden, Riksteater, Norrköpings kommun, Region Östergötland and Nycirkus Öst.

Show description:“Marianne and I” is an exciting colourful show with loads of surprises. It follows 2 characters and their work to find a way to exist together, but something is strange…. How can Marianne appear all over, and how can she change clothes so fast? During the show we follow the mystery and magic of Marianne and who she actually is.

The aim of the show is to have a fun, easy going circus show that’s very tourable. We want the audience to experience a lot of circus all mixed together with humour and clown. The show uses a self standing aerial rig and a self standing slackrope, making it very easy for venues to book, while still allowing us to present a range of exciting circus disciplines.
